Market Research Recruiter

Qualvu is seeking an additional Part-Time Market Research Recruiter who will report to the Manager, Recruit and Panel Operations.

We have developed the industry’s leading web-based video platform for the market research industry, and have attracted some of the country’s leading capital investors to fuel our efforts to attract world-class talent. This is a very exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated professional.

We have a great work environment: an energetic office located near the base of the foothills in Lakewood, Colorado (an easy 15 minute commute from downtown) and a collaborative office environment.

Qualified candidates must be team-oriented, extremely self-motivated & self-directed, and accountable to maintaining performance levels. You must be comfortable communicating on the phone and meeting project quotas. Preferred candidates would be confident in your ability to meet goals and take ownership of recruiting for market research projects.

Market research and/or telephone (fundraising) experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm qualified participants for relevant research projects.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals for project fulfillment.
  • Perform update of participant accounts using provided software tools.
  • Provide project specific information to prospects via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
  • Obtain general understanding of Qualvu operations related to company offered services.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with recruitment in market research projects.
  • Experience with phone communication.
  • Proficiency with Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, Web Browsers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with database management.
  • Call center experience.

QA Engineer

Qualvu is seeking a QA Engineer to join our engineering team as a full-time salaried employee with excellent benefits. This position plays a key role in our QA initiatives, ensuring that Qualvu products meet our quality standards. This is an opportunity to work with cutting edge web technology to continue to drive forward next generation online video qualitative research solutions. We have assembled a bright and motivated team of developers to continue to evolve our offerings.

This position is responsible for analyzing and optimizing both the quality of the Qualvu applications and quality of the application delivery. Our ideal candidate for this position has a strong track record of QA test engineering or software development at other commercial software companies. This role not only involves planning and developing tests, but also building and designing automated tests, debugging root causes of quality issues, and making recommendations for code and infrastructure improvements.

The following position is located at our headquarters near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Lakewood, Colorado, a plethora of outdoor activities, combined with a world-class city combine to create an extraordinary living experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team of Software Developers and along with other QA Engineers to test Qualvu products at the functional and system level using manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Develop, execute and maintain manual and automated tests to identify both GUI and non-GUI based product defects.
  • Assume one or more system test roles within the QA technical test team which could include Web Services, APIs, application add-ins, utilities, login authentication, roles & permissions, performance test engineering, Hosting infrastructure, upgrades, security, etc.
  • Provide complete test coverage of assigned areas.
  • Analyze software defects to ascertain source and nature of defects.
  • Write clear and reproducible software defect incident reports.
  • Thoroughly verify development fixes at the code and functional levels.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the QA team, the development team, other departments and managers.
  • Become a product and knowledge expert in the areas tested.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background:

  • Experience with industry QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies.
  • High attention to process and detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • A highly organized individual who works well under pressure to complete tasks to meet tight deadlines via strong time/task management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management and organizational skills.
  • Industry experience in Internet technologies, protocols, application delivery, SQL and relational databases.
  • Willing to jump in and assist wherever needed with a positive attitude.
  • A fast and able learner with a true passion for quality.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background:

  • BS degree in Computer Science with direct hands-on experience as a Software QA Engineer or Software Developer.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and de-bugging code: Ruby, PHP, Python.
  • Industry experience in testing large scale enterprise web based software products.
  • Administrative level Linux and Windows OS expertise.
  • Strong networking design and tuning skills: IP, DNS, Routing, HTTP.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, SQL, javascript and PHP.
  • Linux scripting experience such as bash.

Web Designer/Developer

Qualvu has an immediate opening for a Web Designer/Developer who will report directly to the Marketing Manager. 

Qualvu is the world’s leading online video solution empowering businesses to gain truthful insights from their customers, through accurate and actionable intelligence. We are changing the qualitative research industry through an innovative video-based platform that enables our clients to connect with their customers, gather rich insights, and make better business decisions. 

The Web Designer/Developer handles all design and technical aspects of our corporate web, mobile, and social media assets including layout, architecture, functionality, usability, and search engine optimization. This position is responsible for interpreting the company brand and implementing its identity through the design of a cohesive look and theme across a variety of web mediums; scope includes but is not limited to: websites, landing pages, and email. 

The responsibilities for this position include: 

  • Conceptualizing, developing, and constructing site architecture and architectural themes through a combination of online tools, HTML, and CSS programming
  • Website design to include layout, navigation, and usability
  • Designing and maintaining site maps and workflow documentation
  • Adding functionality to the Qualvu.com site by implementing WordPress widgets and plug-ins
  • Designing and coding landing pages and HTML email templates that help maximize conversion
  • Designing, coding, formatting, and testing web and mobile marketing collateral
  • Troubleshooting and ensuring functionality of Qualvu.com website
  • Quality assurance testing, maintaining existing web assets and researching new technologies and methods
  • Cross-browser testing
  • Mobile optimization of corporate site and email communication
  • Designing, building, and maintaining custom social media profiles
  • Working closely with the Engineering Department on third-party applications and Qualvu.com integration
  • Collaborating with Interactive Media Designer on all media concepts to ensure identity coherence
  • Assisting with other design projects on an as needed basis
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Marketing Manager 

Qualified candidates will have the following skills:

  • Degree in web design, web development, computer graphics, fine art, or equivalent experience
  • Previous creative design, development, and direction of commercial websites
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS and knowledge of PHP and Javascript is required
  • Knowledge of AJAX is preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop is a must)
  • High-level experience in information architecture, usability, and user-centered design and associated site map and wireframe development
  • Development of web design and programming practices, mobile applications, and templates
  • Broad functional knowledge and proficiency of web and mobile usability, design techniques, and technologies 
  • Demonstrated creative thinker; ability to interpret high-level strategy and translate it into the role
  • Strong team player that can also work independently
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Reliable, dependable, flexible and responsive; willingness to do what it takes to meet a timeline

  • Solid understanding of search engine marketing best practices, SEO methodologies and strategies, optimization techniques, link and site architecture strategies, including experience in implementing keyword development, link building, tracking, analysis, and optimization
  • Prior experience using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about computer technology and the technical processes involved
  • Solid understanding with cross browser and platform compatibility issues

Web Developer

Qualvu is a young startup that applies innovative software solutions to a technology-averse industry. Our agile development team is responsible for building and deploying this software to automate and scale our organization. We are seeking talented, creative developers with a passion for finding robust solutions to tough challenges.

The Qualvu platform contains dozens of exciting and innovative subsystems, including speech recognition, search, video encoding, high performance caching strategies, mobile applications, and web based tools. As a developer, your input is highly valued and has a strong influence on software architecture and product design

Qualified candidates must be team-oriented, extremely self-motivated, professional, and possess a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. Quick learners who are confident in their ability to take ownership and “hit the ground running” will likely be successful in this role. Collaboration and knowledge sharing with team members is critical; strong communication skills are paramount.

Ideal candidates will have experience developing Web applications using a mix of open source and proprietary tools. Individuals should have at least 2 years of experience developing Web applications in a professional context, as well as a strong proficiency in object-oriented programming. Applicants must have at least a working knowledge of Linux.

Required Skills:

  • 4 year degree from an accredited university in either Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Practical experience designing relational databases and writing SQL queries. MySQL is preferred.
  • Object oriented development in a common web development language.
  • Thorough understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver production quality software.
  • Highly motivated by a desire to “build stuff”.

Desired Skills:

  • MySQL, PHP, Debian Linux
  • Experience working on agile development teams, with strong understanding of the agile core concepts and values.
  • Experience with access to a production environment.
  • Experience using at least one major backend framework (.NET, Qcodo, CakePHP, Zend, Rails, etc.).
  • Developers at Qualvu utilize a wide array of tools, from our core languages of PHP, Javascript and MySQL, to C#, Java, Flash, Ruby, bash scripting, and Objective-C. Experience in any of these languages is considered a plus.
