Michael Beaudoin – Director
Mike Beaudoin is Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of ServiceMagic, Inc., the largest online marketplace connecting homeowners to pre-screened service professionals. Prior to founding ServiceMagic in 1998, Mike was a founding team member of Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. where he held several positions, including chief corporate development officer, senior vice president of supply chain and vice president and chief financial officer. During his tenure the company grew to 550 retail stores, became the leading bagel retailer in the U.S. and the company went public in 1996. Prior to that he was a founder of NewLeaf Entertainment Corp., a joint venture between Blockbuster Entertainment Group and IBM formed in 1992 to address digital delivery of entertainment content. During his career, Michael has also worked with Pfingsten Partners, LP, a Deerfield, Ill.-based private equity firm was a corporate finance associate with Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mike serves on the board of Healthgrades, Inc. [NASD: HGRD], a leading Internet provider of consumer health care information. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
Rodney Rice – Director
Rodney Rice is the Co-Founder and Co-Chairman at ServiceMagic, Inc. the largest online marketplace connecting homeowners to pre-screened service professionals. Before founding ServiceMagic, Inc. in 1998, Rodney was a member of the founding team of Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. where he served as vice president of finance and helped take the company public in 1996. Prior to that he worked at Merrill Lynch within the Equity Capital Markets Group in the firm’s New York office, as well as with the Corporate Finance and Mergers " Acquisitions Groups in the Houston office, specializing in the domestic and South American energy markets.
Rodney has been a featured industry speaker within the local marketing and real estate industries, appearing in venues such as Kelsey’s Directory Driven Commerce, Startup BaseCamp and Inman News’ Real Estate Connect Conference. Additionally, in 2004, he was named one of the Denver Business Journal’s "40 Under Forty". Rodney holds a BBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Texas.
John Williamson – CEO
John founded QualVu in 2007 with a vision to provide organizations a platform to harness direct online video-based qualitative feedback from consumers and customers, enabling those organizations to gain rich insights faster and more cost effectively than ever before. As Chief Executive Officer, John is responsible for QualVu’s strategic vision and execution. Previously John was a founding partner of VerusLive, a pioneer in the field of online in-depth interview techniques. Innovations he helped design have been used by companies such as Microsoft, Ericsson and Comcast to conduct more than 1,000 webcam interviews across the globe. John also co-founded Jabbits, the world’s first video-based online Q&A community.
John has held leadership positions in the technology industry, including Guardent, which was acquired by VeriSign in 2005, and eSoft, where he assisted on their IPO in 1999 and served as Managing Director of international sales in London. During his career John has also successfully built various start-ups, including Maxwell Express, a transportation logistics firm that pioneered development of technology-based delivery systems, which he founded, grew and ultimately sold. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Marketing and Advertising from SMU.
