The Researcher Experience

Moderator questions are recorded via an intuitive recorder within VideoDiary™, and questions can be updated or added on-the-fly to optimize feedback. Researchers can even follow up to individual participants or groups of participants, and threaded discussions can be created using an elegant community interface.

Researchers enjoy observing a continually expanding list of participant video responses and learning the answers to their research questions through candid and engaging video responses.

The Participant Experience

QualVu provides webcams to research participants when required (free for them to keep in the event of follow-up VideoDiary™ sessions), and the experience is easy and enjoyable. A tuning center guides participants through all webcam and microphone configuration. Participants are then taken directly to the questions, and with “one-click” answering, consumers record their responses from home, work, or even on the go using hand-held wireless webcams. The hand-held cams enable consumer-driven ethnographic studies that are an order of magnitude more powerful and cost effective than traditional methods.

Additional community interaction settings allow researchers to create community-based or anonymous experiences, where participants can view one another’s responses and further respond or collaborate, or the experience can be completely private so one participant does not influence another with their answer.
